*JOB DESCRIPTION**JOB TITLE: * IT Specialist*DEPARTMENT:
*Information Technology Department*LOCATION: *La Quinta, CA*REPORTS
TO: * IT Department Manager*TRAVEL: * 10-15% (Local/Somis/San
Diego/Nogales)*FLSA: *Non-Exempt*WORK SCHEDULE: * Must work a
minimum of 40 hours per week; schedule will be determined by IT
Department Manager.*GENERAL DESCRIPTION: *The IT Specialist is
responsible for day to day maintenance and customer service
regarding the Company's business systems and electronic equipment.
This position also completes various tasks concerning everyday
issues with software, hardware, planning and implementation towards
achieving department goals.*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND
RESPONSIBILITIES: ** Analyze and trouble shoot all hardware,
software and network problems whether on/offline, LAN/WAN systems,
etc.* Assist employees resolve problems with computer hardware and
software (backup for help desk)* Maintain current and accurate
inventory of technology hardware, software and resources* Install,
load, and connect all hardware and software at new and existing
work stations* Document all new, changing and malfunctioning jobs
related to the hardware and software* Provide orientation to new
users of Company equipment* Monitors environmental equipment: air
conditioning, humidity and temperature of computer equipment*
Coordinate and schedule work with vendor service providers* Other
duties as requested by Supervisor.*EDUCATION AND TRAINING: **
Associate of Arts degree/ certificate of completion from trade
school in computer science or related field* Knowledge of computers
and relevant software application* Minimum two (2) years of
experience performing enterprise and/or client/server work for
professional business system* Minimum one (1) year responsible for
operating the enterprise, client/server or network and related
peripheral equipment* Fluency in Spanish strongly preferred* Strong
knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)* Strong
communication, customer service, and organizational skills*
Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer focused
attitude.*RELATED COMPETENCIES: ** Detail-oriented and organized*
Able to multi-task* Work as a team as well as independently* Have
initiative and recognize/solve issues* Be reliable and take pride
in the work.*WORK ENVIRONMENT: *The employee is regularly required
to stand, walk, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or
controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or
crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to
climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up
to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25
pounds.Specific vision abilities required by the job include close
vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to
adjust focus.The noise level and working conditions are similar to
those for an administrative office. The employee is occasionally
exposed to hot, cold, wet and/or humid conditions; moving
mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne
particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions;
