Job Description Job Description SUMMARY: The Net Cutter plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process by ensuring that materials are cut to precise specifications for further production. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards throughout the cutting process. The Net Cutter will work closely with other team members to optimize production efficiency and minimize waste. Safety is paramount, and the individual will be responsible for adhering to all safety protocols while operating machinery. Ultimately, Net Cutter contributes significantly to the overall success of the manufacturing operation by delivering accurately cut materials that meet production requirements. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Measure and cut netting or mesh materials using cutting tools. Inspect materials for quality and defects before and after cutting. Follow detailed work instructions and safety procedures. Maintain a clean and organized cutting area. Assistwith inventory management and material tracking. Report damaged materials, equipment malfunctions, or shortages to the Supervisorimmediately. Perform routine inspections of finished materials to verify compliance with quality standards. Support production team withadditionalduties during downtime, including light assembly or packagingtasks asassigned. Assist in training new employees or temporary staff assigned to cutting operations. Follow Lean Manufacturing principles such as 5S to keep workstations organized and efficient. Perform other relatedduties asassigned to support department and company objectives. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED preferred. 1yearof manufacturing or production experience preferred. Ability to read measurements accurately and use basic tools. Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity. Ability to follow written work instructions and production drawings. Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, measurement conversions). Experience using hand tools such as scissors, knives, or cutting machines preferred. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after training. Commitment to workplace safety and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Bilingual English/Spanish a plus. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods during the workday. Frequent manual handling of materials, including pulling, measuring, and cutting netting or mesh materials. Requires good hand, eye coordination, fine motor skills, and the ability to use cutting tools accurately andsafely. Must be able to lift and maneuver materialsweightingup to 35 lbs. independently. Exposure to manufacturing floor conditions such as noise, dust, and fluctuating temperatures. Work performed primarily in a production floorsetting,occasionally exposure to warehouse storageareas. Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and cut resistant equipment isrequired. Must adhere to OSHA or Cal/OSHA Safety standards and all company safety policies.
