Orthopaedic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider Supervisor
(Orthopaedic NP or PA) to lead daily operations for a 22-member APP
team and help drive workflow and quality improvements across sites.

into a well-supported leadership role that’s highly valued - Lead a
stable, growing APP team within a stable Orthopaedic Surgery
department - Drive operational and patient care improvements
through close collaboration. - Oversee daily operations for NPs and
PAs in Orthopaedic Surgery - Split role approximately 50%
administrative and 50% clinical, flexing as needed - Supervise a
current team of 22 APPs across multiple deployment areas and sites
- Provide inpatient and outpatient care: exams, diagnostics,
discharge planning, documentation - Optimize clinic workflows,
scheduling, templates, and staff coverage across multiple sites -
Lead onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and
professional development - Partner with senior management and
physicians to build APP best-practice models - Use HR and labor
contract experience to manage change and complex priorities -
Follow an outpatient clinic structure: 4 half-day sessions with
20-minute appointments - Practice with no OR responsibility; add a
5th non-patient-facing session for charting - UC San Diego Health
