We are seeking an Internal Medicine Physician for a 5-day locum tenens assignment in California. This opportunity begins on Mar 16, 2026, and offers a Monday through Friday clinic schedule from 9:30am to 5:30pm. The position features low patient volume, allowing for focused, quality care and detailed record keeping. Candidates confident in autonomous practice, with experience in urgent care considered a plus, are encouraged to apply. Job Details - Location: California - Start Date: Mar 16, 2026 - LOA: 5 days - Provider Type Needed: Internal Medicine Physician - Schedule: Clinic coverage Monday through Friday, 9:30am - 5:30pm Responsibilities and Duties - Provide outpatient internal medicine services in a clinic setting - Conduct initial huddles with staff at the start of each shift - Manage a low daily patient volume, with some days seeing no patients and busy days seeing around 5-6 patients - Ensure comprehensive and descriptive charting for all patient encounters - Deliver care independently, making confident clinical decisions - Maintain compliance with all required certifications and documentation standards Additional Information - Active California medical license required - Board certification in Family Medicine required - Basic Life Support (BLS) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certifications required - Candidates with urgent care experience are preferred - Assignment duration and schedule are subject to minor adjustments based on client needs Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
