Work Location: San Diego, California; OnsiteEngagement Model: Employment; fixed-term/temporaryProject Duration: Around 4 to 6 weeksStart Date: As soon as possiblePayment Conditions: $80 USD/hourThe Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide medical oversight and ensure the safety and well-being of study participants at the site location. Responsibilities include supervising medical assistants, collecting medical histories, monitoring vital signs, and overseeing the overall medical procedures during research sessions.Role Responsibilities:

• Supervise and collaborate with medical assistants to collect participants' medical histories and monitor blood pressure data.
• Perform initial health assessments, including reviewing Physical Activity Readiness forms and conducting vital sign checks (e.g., blood pressure, heart rate).
• Monitor participants' vitals throughout the study session and ensure their safety during research activities.
• Provide advanced medical oversight at the site location, ensuring all medical protocols are adhered to.
• Respond to any medical emergencies and provide advanced care as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety protocols, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• Provide guidance and training to staff regarding safety procedures and health assessments.Required Skills
  • Advanced clinical skills in patient assessment, vital sign monitoring, and emergency response.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory abilities to manage and guide medical assistants.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with research teams.
  • Attention to detail and ability to make quick, informed decisions in emergency situations.
  • Strong understanding of medical ethics, regulatory compliance, and patient confidentiality.Required Experience and Qualifications
    • Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of California.
    • At least 3 years of experience in a clinical setting, with a preference for research or supervisory roles.
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
